Come On People, It's Not That Hard

Paying attention and doing the right thing aren't really all that difficult. More people should do it. Then stuff like this wouldn't happen.

Sheesh. At the risk of repeating myself...

Dude, I went through the roof when I saw that story. The guy is charged with a DUII (intoxicated with what?) but luckily no one got killed.

Yep, if you are operating a vehicle on the road, motorized or not, pay attention.

That, and stupid drivers stopping at signaled crosswalks with a green light and waving pedestrians and bicyclists to cross against a solid red hand and/or red light.

Dude, I think your shit's gonna hit the fan, but I wonder about how a nine-month old pit bull became too bloody viscious. The kids, maybe?

"Pit bull attacks elderly woman in Aloha" (KATU.com).

Yep, I recently talked with my neighbor and introducing his pit bull to me. He told me some of the kids are already "poking" at the pit bull too much. But whenever I can, my dogs, and myself, socialize with his dog.

Aw jeez. I wonder where they got the dog, how long they had her, etc. The owner appears to have his head in the right place, worrying more about the old lady's condition that what happens to his dog.

Training dogs not to jump up on people is a challenge. It took me almost a year to get our Dane to stop doing it. Phoebe used to jump up at me as soon as I got home from work, and she used to nip at my hands until we worked on that with her...wonder if it could be they just didn't teach the dog not to jump up on people...

Some of the kids in my neighborhood taunt Phoebe. It'd be no surprise if this guy's neighbor kids did the same...

Not to mention, there was a blurb about it in USA Today today, 16 July 2007) in the state-by-state briefs. So this incident got a little bit of national attention.

Putting down a nine-month old puppy is like putting down a five-year old child.

Dude, back to the cyclist. KATU had the cyclist on the five news. The cyclist was to start a new job today. He was also going to compete in an Ironman competition. Instead a drunk bastard took the dreams away from the cyclist.

Oh yeah, one other note about that drunk driver that mowed over the cyclist, he had served 13 years for murder. The sicko was seen on the news in court, crying that he won't be able to drive again. What a sorry sack of shit this sicko is.

I hope the best and a speedy recovery for the injured cyclists.
