Gone Ronin had it's 10,000th visit today. Woohoo.

Some random 'did-you-know' about 10,000, mostly thanks to Wikipedia:

  • 10,000 meters is the longest distance I have ever run in a single session (not counting a 12-mile road march in Air Assault School, although I was kinda jogging that most of the way. 10K is the longest 'race' I ever ran.). <-- This one wasn't from Wikipedia, if you were wondering...
  • A 10,000-sided polygon is called a myriagon.
  • While M is the Roman numeral for 1000, the Greeks used it (well, a capital 'mu') for 10,000.
  • Minnesota is the "Land of 10,000 Lakes".
  • There is no US Zip Code 10000.
  • There are approximately 10,000 species of birds.

See? Fun, right?

Congratulations on the 10K! I also just made it over the hill, but probably because of I was working on the site. How many of your hits were caused when you re-designed? We'd love to know...
