Sidewinders 6, Beavers 5, Ghost Dog: $21.50

Free is a good price for Triple-A baseball. The weather wasn't what I got 2 years ago when I took my team to see our hometown Portland Beavers play the very same Sidewinders, not by a long shot. In 2003, it was sweltering. I'm talking upper 90s. This time around, it was light drizzle, but it didn't last. Still, you take what you can get when the company shells out for you to have fun, during work hours even. Pretty decent seats, too, so the only thing I can complain about is the $7.00 apiece I spent on beer. Hot dogs were $3.75 each. Oh well, on to the whole point of the post - the pictures:

First, the view from our seats (Right field, section 118 - bonus points for finding what's wrong with the picture)

A Sidewinders batter making contact (the blur off the end of the bat is the ball - good timing on my part)

The Beavers starter, dealing (got another one with the ball in flight. sweet.)

This proved to be the game-winner, a single up the middle

Not a bad afternoon despite the less-than-perfect weather.
